St Kieran's Young Scratchers

The pupils of St Kierans NS have just begun to use Scratch and are really enjoying the experience. We based our projects on school life. This flower was designed to represent our school garden. We hope to upload many more simple project as we get to know Scratch better and we would love some hints from all the Scratchers out there.

Hi there. It is great fun to teach young people to use Scratch.  I did a remix of your project to show your students new blocks. Please visit the link at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/aitan/994458.

If your students are completely new to Scratch, you may want to  give them a more structured lesson at first so that they can know how to use the blocks under your instructions.

Perhaps you would like to join our Scratch PLC online talks organized by Karen Randall  (http://scratched.media.mit.edu/user/74) once in about two weeks where some of us Scratch educators meet and chat about teaching Scratch and other issues.

Do check the link at http://scratched.media.mit.edu/resources/scratch-plc-conversation-1-lesson-designhttp://scratched.media.mit.edu/resources/scratch-plc-conversation-1-lesson-design.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your class.
