Harvard Graduate School of Education

Brief biography:
I am the former Project Manager for the Creative Computing research initiative at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Our various projects explore the ways in which computational design activities influence the concepts, practices, and perspectives of young people. I believe that every learner has a valuable voice and the desire to share it - that they deserve the space, tools and structure to create more than they consume. For the past eight years I worked towards this goal in the tangible realm, as a visual art teacher, creative placemaking project director and arts integration program manager. I am thrilled to investigate and support this work in the digital realm. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Visual Arts from Loyola University New Orleans and a master's degree in Arts in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
