Brief biography:
I am a doctoral candidate at Temple University in the field of School Psychology. My dissertation study will attempt to shed new light on the relationship of computational thinking and computer programming activities to academic achievement, problem solving, creativity, and programming conceptual knowledge. I will be implementing the Scratch Creative Computing Curriculum with two groups of 10 to 12 year old students in the summer of 2017 in an Philadelphia school, and using a randomized control design attempt to provide experimentally sound evidence to answer the question of what can students learn from engaging in programming activities.
