West Preston School (elementary/middle) +

Brief biography:
I took my first programming class (BASIC) in 1980, got a job in 1981 where they gave me a book (FORTRAN IV by McCracken, as I recall) and said I had a week to learn FORTRAN, on a PDP 11/34, after which I entered code for an electrical engineer on a IBM mainframe from a terminal running CMS. I was tinkering with a Radio Shack TRS80 in my spare time, doing assembler programming for the Zilog Z80. Have been a programmer ever since. In 2015 I went back to college for the first time since 1980, taking a Java OOP course.
