I created this instructional module with the intent of providing a comprehensive tutorial on how to use Scratch programming to develop multimedia projects. I envision it could be used by any teacher in a grade 5-12 curriculum as an instructional resource that students can access to learn how to use this software to develop projects that evidence their learning. Student learning could be assessed through the variety of formats offered with the use of Scratch programming: storytelling, animation, graphics, simulation and gaming.
My first use of this tutorial, however, was in an informal workshop setting with the Citrus Council Girl Scouts in Orlando, Florida. In this case, this tutorial was burned to a cd and given to the participants as a resource to support their learning. Based on the feedback I received, most of the girls found it very useful.
Thanks. This is a great resource. I would like to include the moodle course I am developing.
Thanks Denise. I am glad you can use it.!
I hope you find this resource useful.
