Scratch@MIT starts with dinner Wednesday, Aug 6.  Come early for a free workshop 9-5 that day about The Beauty and Joy of Computing, an AP CS: Principles curriculum using Snap!, a blocks language that reimplements Scratch but adding first class lists and first class procedures, thereby giving the programming power needed for a serious CS curriculum.  Sign up at bit.ly/BJC2014.
