Scratch in Homeschooling

This article from the Linux Journal introduces Scratch as a useful tool in homeschooling.

Mike Diehl introduces Scratch to his readers and comments on his experience as a homeschooling parent, trying to integrate it into his curriculum. He also offers one suggestion and criticism for Scratch: "For me, the programming area was way too small. I easily filled it and had to scroll around to see the big picture in anything but the most trivial of programs. Finally, it would be really really neat if Scratch could have even a simple networking stack. A networking stack would open up an entire universe of new opportunities for Scratch programing."
