This blog is a record of how a computer teacher used Scratch in an elementary classroom setting. The author of the blog teaches computers to Kindergarten through 5th grade students at Logan Elementary School (in San Diego, CA). He introduced Scratch to his 4th and 5th grade students, and planned his lessons as follows:

  • Lesson #1 Motion and control
  • Lesson #2 Animation and sound
  • Lesson #3 Show 'em what scratch can do

Though Nate had limited resources and time (only 3 classes), he succeeded in getting his students excited about programming with Scratch.
