Hand drawn sprites flip upside down using the bounce script

The sprites that come with the program don't flip upside down with the bounce function.  However, my handdrawn sprites (Scratch paint editor) always flip upside down on bounce.  Both the sprites (handdrawn and ones that come with the program) have identical settings.  Please help.  If I check the don't rotate button, then my sprites go backwards.  Besides, the sprites that come with the program don't have that button checked anyway, so that can't be the problem.
