Themes of Geography, Pixie and Scratch

The learning objectives of the “Where in the World” project were for students to conduct research, apply technology skills and problem solve through the creation of a game.  Students researched countries and recorded information on Google slides for feedback from the Information Specialist.  Students used advanced technology skills, to create Pixie maps representing geographical features of each country.  The Scratch program was utilized to create interactive games based on their country which allowed them to think creatively and problem solve.  At all levels of the project students were encouraged to be creative, while producing a quality multimedia project.
